I was browsing through the web until i bumped into qj.net forum, they're discussing a new release of a PSP model number PSP-3000, you can google it for more information, it turns out that Sony are now moving against the pandora battery and want to implement changes in the system that will allow them to tackle the pandora.
Time will tell what Sony will do to fix this, they may eliminate the entire battery bootup option, I personally think they will modify the PSP in a way that the users will have to physically break into the PSP to use pandora features, invalidatingh the warranty ofcourse.
My hunch is that sony aren't just going to completely eliminate the pandorizing of PSP, but just modify it a way so that the masses just won't have the ability to mess around with it.
Because the pandora battery has made it so simple for the average joe to hack the PSP, it's practically child's play. Anyone can just go online and order a kit and unlock the PSP in minutes.
This will come as a blow to any PSP modders, at the same time for the millions who don't know anything about pandora and want to buy games from the shops and use the PSPs standard features this probably won't affect them much at all.
What I would like is for sony to make bigger improvements to the psp-3000, I mean the slim PSP was good, and had massive improvements over the original PSP, but personally I think a lot more could have been done. Faster processor perhaps? even more ram?
Whatever improvements they make, I'd just like some decent web browsing experience, that loads pages fast and quickly.

Locoroco
I just got off from playing locoroco from my PSP, I must say this is a really fun and idillic game. Initially I bought this for my newphew, it looks like something suitable for a 4 year old. And it is! It's suitable for everyone from 4 years old to 40!!
Firstly let me tell you something, locoroco seems to be sony's answer to to nintendo's range of gameplay-heavy games. What I mean is, nintendo, although aren't known for big releases and massive range of games, are known and liked for the excellent gameplay and the quality of the games. I mean my cousins still play their N64 because they like the game so much!! Hmm I think I'm going to have to buy them a wii before summer is over.
Sony has been known for highly technical games loved by computer nerds, and this seems to be a limited targets.
So it seems like SONY has decided to diversify and wanted to introduce user firnedly games that anyone can play. Locoroco seems to be the answer.
I love this game, and could easily spend hours playing the games, the kiddish music although very kindergarten will not annoy you, it's actually kinda cute, to be honest. Actually it's one of the few games were I actually like the music, on most games the music is aweful and I prefer to turn the sound right off when I'm playing.
Anyways I'm off to go play some more locorocco,
Stay turned, I'll report back more about PSP pandora batterys, downgrading, flashing, and some good games coming out soon!

God of War edition, Slim PSP
Yayy! This is my new PSP, God of War red, I love it! I'm not a big fan of the God of War game, but I love the bright red casing, very new and very limited edition! Also dig the avatar of the man at the back. It would have been cooler if the avatar was in black though.
The SLIM psp seems to last a lot longer in battery time, and the internet browsing expereince is a lot more fruitful, as it isn't as slow as when browing on the PHAT psp.
The great thing about this is that I got it as a pack with a UMD move and the god of war game. I've never owned a UMD movie before, as I always played downloaded MP4 movies from the net.
I considered selling the UMD off on ebay, but I watcehd superbad and loved the film so much that I had to keep it. It reminds me a lot of our journey's as a teenager when we're new with girls and still experimenting and exploring our sexualities.
So yeah this PSP kicks ass!! I'm going to show it off to all my friends.
Peace out
:)

Upgrade to SLIM
I've had my aging PHAT PSP for ages now, and it's really starting to show it's age. It functions adequately, don't get me wrong. I'm always careful and look after my belongings, it's still in good shape and is pretty similar to how it was when I first acquired, however I've realised that some of the newer games are very demanding and the PHAT PSP with it cumbersome RAM; it cannot handle some of the advanced features.
For instance web browsing is a pain, and I always get reports for the PSP asking me to turn off the images because there isn't any ram to display the pics properly, also the PHAT PSP cannot handle the skype software that comes default with the newer slimmer PSP... sigh.
So I'm going to go off and list my PSP on ebay and get ir dof it once and for all, if anyone wants a PSP with 3.90 M33-2 firmware, in metallic silver, with 1 UMD game, and 8 DVDs worth of ISO games, send me a message here and I'll get back to you.
There's so much to choose from on these PSPs, I'm going to order a RED slim PSP with god of war customized vinyl stuck on.
It should be superb!
Keep your eyes open and I'll let you know how I get on with my new SLIM PSP

The Pandora
The Pandora changed the way we develop our PSPs, it means we can downgrade ANY psp that sony now throw out there, and it means that we can take massive risks in downgrading and not worry because we can recover them EASILY by reloading a working software from boot-up.
The PSP development scene has come to a new era, thanks to noobz team, Team C+D, Dark Alex and team M33 (which is alledged to have been Dark Alex) rebranded.
Hehe, dark Alex had to resign from the scene after sony hackers managed to find out who dark Alex was and published his name and address on the internet, fearing for his safty he pulled the plug on his project, congratulated the sony hackers for their efforts and left the scene.
Thousnads of PSP fans we wonder what would happen next, is this the end of the line for SONY development? is this the end of the line for homebrew?
fear not Team M33 were there to take on the PSP homebrew development throne, at irst they were mistrusted, the dodgy programming made some people suspicious, and people began to write on forums how they think m33 are sony in disguise, and they're only going to end up auto-bricking, and costing the open development scene millions on pounds.
But these were just blank fears,
M33 delivered, and continue to deliver to this day
I couldn't pandorize my battery for some reason so I went off and bought a battery from pandoragadets, you can buy pandora battery here if you don't have a PSP with open edition firmware to create your pandora battery.

The downgrade
back then we didn't have a Pandora battery to help us to downgrade PSPs, there were a few odd version of the PSP that was downgradable, but some of the PSPs were doomed to offcial firmware versions for the mean time before dark alex came up with a workaround.
Fortunately for me, My PSP was already on version 1.5 downgraded by the chinese guys from the factory. So I immediately got it and proceeded to install 3.40 OE firmware on it, curtosy of dark alex's patch.
You see, back then downgrading was a nerveracking expereince because if you were to badly flash the firmware, then you'd have a massive liklihood of BRICKING the PSP, that meant that it would be as useful as a paperweight only about 20 times more expensive.
So every time you rank an open edition upgrading, you could feel the heart in your stomach and your throat would get dry.
A lot of people bricked their PSPs and then sold it off as a spare part. Boy I wish I was around then buying up these 'spare part PSPs' with the knowledge that I could restore it with pandora in a couple months time.
So I installed the 3.40 OE firmware and installed my best game ever onto my PSP, SOuld Blade, the debauchery continues, the bloodshed and terror of Cervantes, the Pinache and speed of Li Long.
I spent the next few months destroy the dpad playing beat em up games, listhen folks, there was a reason why they never invented a beat em up game for the PSP, it's because some guys would permanently destroy the D-pad of their PSPs.
